The BICOM bioresonance method continues to gain acceptance by German medical practitioners. The introductory lecture by Hans Bruegemann summarised a survey carried out in October 2005 among German-speaking BICOM users. The survey covered 241,664 patients who had exhausted all forms of treatment using conventional medicine in 396 practices. Of these, 46.7% no longer showed any symptoms, 34 % experienced a significant improvement,13.1% registered a slight improvement and only 6.25% showed no sign of improvement. To estimate the worldwide picture, even assuming that only 60% of therapists use the same protocols as those in the survey, then over 1,000,000 patients whom conventional medicine could not help can be expected to have made a complete recovery and a further 780,000 to have experienced significant improvements.

Later in the meeting, Hans Bruegemann presented another paper summarising scientific evidence for the efficacy of the bioresonance method. Some of this material is already published in Regumed's "Scientific Studies" documentation, which we include with our Introductory Day Training, but this was extended with new data from China, where the BICOM is used exclusively by conventional ("Western" not TCM) medical practitioners in children's hospitals.

This year's meeting had several papers on asthma and pain therapy, including an excellent one illustrating how dental foci can be linked to pain elsewhere in the body.

A bound set of papers presented at the congress is now available from Biomed for $33 plus postage.

November 2nd, 2005 - Stop Smoking

BBC TV News carried a story New therapy makes body reject smoking.

Anti-smoking patches, nicotine gum and hypnosis have all been touted as methods to help kick the smoking habit but now bioresonance therapy is being used to overcome the physical factor in nicotine addiction. This video shows clients coming from as far as Spain to have BICOM treatment in London.

The UK continued to show massive interest in the quit smoking therapy. The journalist who wrote the initial Sunday Telegraph article was still not smoking when interviewed 5 weeks later. Another journalist was treated 4 days before appearing on Channel Four's Richard and Judy chat show with Savita Bhandari, a London BICOM therapist.
The Richard and Judy video clip and transcript is available on Savita's site:
She received so many calls, one of her phones had to be diverted to a call centre. Savita says the BBC plans to follow up on the mainstream BICOM area of children's allergic conditions such as eczema.

Any complementary or medical practitioners interested in training and purchasing a BICOM, please contact Biomed.
A low-cost version can be supplied if only needed for stop smoking treatments.

45th International Congress for BICOM Therapists

Fulda, near Frankfurt. 29th April to 1st May, 2005.

Dr Andy Barrie from Adelaide attended the congress and presented a paper entitled Successful BICOM Treatment of Central Nervous System Disorders in Children. A bound folder of the Congress papers (English translation) is available from Biomed Australia ($33 each incl. GST). It is planned to run a  seminar in Adelaide (and possibly Brisbane) to summarize the highlights from the formal presentations, informal discussions with therapists and the half-day workshop Discovery and Treatment of Hidden Intracellular Strains by Alan Baklayan. The Congress was attended by around 400 practitioners. Although most of the talks were in German, Hansi Jakoby gave an excellent simultaneous translation. Highly recommended for any therapists going to Europe. Fulda is a small town with many mediaeval buildings about one hour by train from Frankfurt airport.
